Banksy is the pseudonym of a famous British graffiti artist. His true identity is unknown, but is believed to be a native of Yate, South Gloucestershire, near Bristol and to have been born in 1974. Banksy, supposedly a son of a photocopier technician, was trained as a butcher but became involved in graffiti during the late 1980s as part of the great Bristol aerosol boom.
