Wish You Were Here – Pink Floyd Lyrics and Video

This is a song that has been stuck in my had now for a little over two decades, one of my favorites. Wish you were here by Pink Floyd.

Enjoy!

Pink Floyd : Wish You Were Here

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue sky’s from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We’re just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
And how we found
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

  1. Lovely song. Loved it so much.

    • Pink Floyd is a really great band, they are getting pretty old now though, so I don’t know if they will make any more music, but there sure knew what they were doing when they did.

  2. I must have to collect the beautiful song in my collection as soon as possible. I like the line”We’re just two lost souls” very much.

  3. @Interesting Facts
Glad you enjoyed the song I.F., it’s no wonder Pink Floyd have the #1 album of all time, they deserve it.
