This is a fantastic video in the spirit of TED talks, highlighting how Social Media campaigns work for large, and uprising business.

I get many e-mails each day from these types of companies offering to increase my social media rankings on the internet for a fee, but have often wondered exactly what they will do for us.

I think the following video explains it best, have a watch.

True Confessions of a Video Game Junkie

Hi, my name is Scott, and I am a video game junkie.

I am not sure exactly when it all started, I seem to have the vague memories of sitting downstairs at a family friend’s house on New Years day, fondly playing Pong at about the age of six for a few hours, but I am not really sure if that would be the beginning of my addiction. Thinking back, I guess my addiction really started once I had a few too many hours alone with an Atari 2600 video game system given to me one wondrous Christmas morning, I played until I had blisters on my fingers, and yet was still determined to play for many painful hours afterwards, I think I was seven.

Like any good junkie, I have given up mass sums of money, easily spending tens of thousands of dollars over the years, if not hundreds of thousands to feed my insatiable need. I have forgone my health by missing many meals and exercise just to play games. I have called in sick to both school, and work just to get to the next level, and at one particularly troubled period of youth, even stole money to get my fix.

Don’t go feeling sorry for me though, have a good look at the poor kids in this next video, and the good people at Columbia House that try to help them. Spread word to your friends about this, post it in your status on whatever social networking sites you are on, and who knows, you might even save a life.

“Billy’s” Balloon – A Concerning Fear

When we think of balloons, we usually think of simple multicolored objects of fun. We know that children enjoy them, but we overlook the obvious dangers of the device.

Not only are they made of highly expandable rubber, or latex, which when given to a child is often punctured and exploded, causing dangerous flying debris, possible hearing damage and leaving the child with a choking hazard in his reach, but there are other serious dangers unknown to most of us.

This video shows yet another reason why children should not be left alone with balloons.

Russians Train Rodents As Secret Weapons

Since man first crawled out of the primordial muck and started to walk on two legs, we have spent an awful lot of our time and energy trying to think of new ways to kill one another. Beyond the machines and devices we invent to cause harm. We also have used animals in warfare, and often trained our fellow humans into lethal weapons through the martial arts.

It seems the Russians have now taken these basic concepts of warfare, and combined them in a new and all too deadly way. Possibly inspired by the real life documentaries of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or G-Force, they have started training their own breed of Mutant Ninja Hamsters.

This incredible video footage was taken from a secret KGB stronghold in Russia earlier this year. The estimated human cost of bringing this important film to you is somewhere between zero and a million human lives lost, but it’s vital knowledge could save the lives of billions.

Often however as we grow up, the things that are so simple as children become much more complicated.

As adults the true nature of our actions become apparent to us. Our decisions much more vital.
