Guns N' Roses (GNR) Appetite for Destruction is the debut studio album of the American hard rock band. The album was released to massive commercial success on July 21, 1987. Appetite for destruction topped the Billboard 200 and soon became the best-selling debut album in the US. It is also one of the best-selling records ever, with over 30 million copies sold worldwide. Although critics were ambivalent toward the album when it was first released, Appetite for Destruction has since received retrospective acclaim and is now viewed as one of the greatest albums of all time.

Guns N' Roses have been credited with reviving the mainstream popularity of rock music, Their late 80s and early 90s years have been described as a period of "hedonistic rebelliousness" reminiscent of an early Rolling Stones, this earned them the nichname of "The Most Dangerous Band in the World". In 2012, Guns N Roses were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
